I would suggest that if you’re using one of these art printing companies that you have the work stretched before shipping or you stretch it on stretcher bars when you receive it to save shipping costs. You can order stretcher bars by length online. Make sure the bar sizes will fit your frame depth.
this is amazinggg. playing around with it now! i am such a photoshop novice- once i rescale, should there be a base layer that is white below it? or just nothing? thank you <3333
All you need to do is flatten the layers together! You can do this by saving down the file as a jpeg or tif, which is the file type you’ll need to upload for printing. Let me know if this helps!
Bookmarked immediately! I’ve been looking at wallpaper and other large-scale prints, but the frames have always been so crazy expensive! Definitely trying this!

I love textile art, check out my recent Redwood Art Prize Runner Up, Cosmic Sunset! It’s an original oil painting executed on Velvet-such a unique medium, with added Acrylic Touches for texture.
- Inexpensive premade canvas (available at Michael’s or other major art suppliers) or purchase a framed artwork to repurpose
- Staple gun
How to:
1. Fold the sides of your textile like wrapping a present, securing with staples at backside as you go.
2. For a neat finish keeping the fabric tight and smooth.
3. You can also find expensive framers clamps on Amazon to help with holding tension
4. Order Textile artwork size that will cover sides and back edges of canvas.
5. order a smaller size textile to test on an 12x12 for your first project.
Tips:
- Buying textile or ordering flat saves on shipping from the artist and makes DIY mounting more affordable.
Artwork ships in a Tube
