Hot Sheet: June
Watch me twirl, Daddy!!
Damn, June really came and went, didn’t she?
June is a big month. It finally feels like summer in the city, it’s Jane’s birthday, and, of course, Pride. The people are feral, and the plans are completely out of control. Regardless of the 90-degree weather, we’re still choosing to eat in those outdoor dining sheds, our swamp asses cosplaying as European tourists before everyone and their mother actually heads to Europe for the summer. The city is full.
It was crowded, it was hot and the Knicks won!!
WNU Seersucker Sets: In the summer, we do a lot of moving around, and with moving around comes a lot of stuffing shit into bags. Mostly clothes. And you know what sucks? Wrinkly clothes. I’ve recently discovered—and maybe I’m really dumb for not knowing this—that seersucker is a fabric, not a pattern, and it packs unbelievably well.
I’ve been living in these sets from With Nothing Underneath. They pack incredibly well and never seem to wrinkle. I’ve worn them as a set, mixed, matched—you get it. Could not recommend them enough!

I have the set in Navy, really contemplating it in White.
Jamie Haller: On the subject of things I somehow made it this far in life without knowing about, Jamie Haller might be my favorite designer discovery to date. I found her by way of Jane while we were out East, and I genuinely believe that this woman has designed the most perfect loafer. Oh, and the pumps? Don't even get me started on those. And, oh, fuck... the flats too. Those are good. Like, reallllllllllllllllllllllllly good.
If you're my friend and you knew about her and never thought to tell me... well, shame on you!!!

The Pump and The Really Good Jazz Slipper.

The Loafers and The Flip Flops.
Pride: Hi, Gay!
Can’t talk about June without talking about Pride... that would be, um, sacrilegious. This year’s lineup was absolutely stacked with bangers. We kicked things off at Good Taste with a DJ set from none other than the lesbian oracle herself, Samantha Ronson, and closed out the festivities (on Pride Sunday) with a darty hosted by Jane and Leggy. I feel like they should make it a quarterly thing?!?!? Should I bully them into it?
Anyway, here’s a little Pride dump for y’all to enjoy!

Our Framebridge Partnership: On the subject of Pride, Jane and I partnered with Framebridge on a fun little framing project! You can check out the video here.
Nothing says Pride quite like being the token lesbian. Not derogatory. Tokenize me—tell our story!!! In all seriousness, it was very special. I am so grateful!
Stupid Free City Collab: Wildflower did a limited edition run of phoncases in collaboration with Free City, and maybe Madhappy (?!) (this is an insane sentence), and my dumbass bought one.
By all means, pass judgment.
Celisse in Baby Doll: This nail color, y’all!!!! So babygirl! So cunty!

Doen Dresses: Paper-thin and perfectly timeless—ideal for the heatwave(s) headed our way. Here are the two in my rotation:
The Faye Dress: Sadly, she’s sold out, but a restock feels inevitable?!

The Hilde Dress: In stock!

Perfect Vintage Denim: In the past two months, I have found two pairs of jeans that fit me pretty damn near perfectly. And what's deeply fucking annoying (for you) is that I somehow did the impossible: I grabbed the first pair off the rack, tried them on and struck gold. Not once, but twice. (I'm a huge bitch, I know.) And, to make it worse, this happened at two completely different stores. The first was Front General Store here in Brooklyn, and the second was Ending Soon in Los Angeles.
Speaking of Pants: I am really excited about these Loeffler Randall pants. We're calling them the Pasha Pant. The fit is good and the stripes… delicious. I loved how they looked with these pumps I tried on at the aforementioned Ending Soon location in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, they were about two sizes too small for my ogre feet.

Block Printed Stripes (And Things): If you, too, are into fun stripes and patterns (I certainly am), SZ Blockprints is another great place to shop. I don't know if it's the vintage feel of all the stripes in-market right now or what, but damn... I cannot stop gravitating toward them. You?!
Also, my friend Sarah is the genius behind the brand—love that girl to bits!

Her “Ribbon Print”

More things she makes that I love: this Huge Ass Hat and this pair of Pants.
Chairs We Found On The Sidewalk That We Didn’t Take: Did we make a mistake, be honest?!
Lonnie’s: Listen, y’all, as promised… I went and, yes, it was fucking fabulous! It was also such a lovely, happy accident to wander in and run directly into two of my favorite people, Jess and Tay (hey cuties)! Running into friends at an establishment really tells you a lot about the place, huh?
Menu highlights: the Pinacolada, the Lettuceses (simple and perfect), the Crudo (buttery, wow), the Burger (duh) and the Prime Rib.

This Fuck-Ass Hat: One day during work this week, I found myself a little fidgety, so I took myself on a walk like the dog that I am. Naturally, that walk turned into buying something. Again, like the dog that I am—gimme treats! I marched my happy ass around SoHo with absolutely no destination in mind, dissociated for a sec and somehow wandered back to the office with this little woven number perched atop my dome.

Deadstock Birthday Candles: Jane celebrated her birthday on June 1 (my Gemini queen), which meant I could finally break out the birthday candles I’d bought her this winter from a coffee shop in Westhampton. Tucked away in the far back corner is an entire floor-to-ceiling wall of candles. From the packaging alone, I could tell that they were ancient. They have that wonderfully unserious, vaguely offbeat design language that feels impossible to manufacture today. They don’t take themselves too seriously. That’s how you know they’re not of this time. My guess, early ‘00s?
I am absolutely obsessed with the color combinations and polka dots. Definitely going back this weekend to snag more.
See you next time, Searchlings! XOXO

Those Jamie Haller jazz shoes take up an absurd amount of space in my mind
Only you can pull off a damn hat like that you hooootie babe
